The Geothermal Alliance of Illinois is sponsoring Chicagoland GEOthermal 2013, a one day educational event on October 30, to encourage companies and individuals to get involved in the growing geothermal heat pump industry. The timing is perfect now, with continuation of the 30 percent federal tax credit through 2016 and new, expected utility incentives.
In addition to a day of educational programs, there’s even continental breakfast and lunch at no charge for participants.
Chicagoland GEOthermal 2013 will be held at Ashton Place in Willowbrook. Ashton Place is at 341 75th Street, just a few blocks north of I-55 off the Kingery Highway/IL Hwy 83 exit.
Speakers at the event include:
*Steve Smith, CEO of Enertech Global, manufacturer of GeoComfort, Hydron Module and TETCO and Econar geothermal heat pumps.
*Dave Buss and Jeff Hurst of Connor Co., distributor of ClimateMaster geothermal heat pumps.
*Ryan Kerry, Great Lakes Geothermal, a Chicago area loop installer.
*Kirk Mescher, CM Engineering, a Columbia, MO geothermal designer.
