The ComEd® Energy Efficiency Program is offering incentives for pre-approved geothermal heat pump systems in existing facilities.

Eligibility
Non-residential ComEd customers (regardless of electricity supplier) are eligible to apply for this incentive.
Projects must involve the installation and operation of qualifying geothermal heat pumps (less than 50 tons) as the primary heating and cooling system on an existing facility. New construction buildings are ineligible for this incentive.
Applications will be accepted for geothermal heat pump systems that are installed and operational by June 30, 2019.
Installing contractors must be approved ComEd Energy Efficiency Business Trade Allies with Illinois Commerce Commission Energy Efficiency Installer certification. In addition, contractors must have GAOI design and installer accreditations.
How Do I Apply?
STEP 1: Verify Project Eligibility by reviewing the information in the pre-application.
STEP 2: Confirm use of an approved contractor
STEP 3: Submit pre-approval application by February 28, 2019 and wait for notice of project approval.
STEP 4: Move forward with project installation
STEP 5: Submit the final application

When Can I Apply?
If your geothermal heat pump system will be installed and operational between May 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019, you can complete the required Pre-Approval Application and submit electronically to ComEdcghp@gaoi.org.
Final Applications are due before August 31, 2019.
What is the Incentive Level?
Non-residential customers are eligible for an incentive of $1,000 per ton of capacity installed, up to 50% of project cost.
