Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative, a rural electric co-op serving nearly 14,000 consumer-members in eastern Illinois, will mark the 1,000th geothermal heating and cooling system installed on the cooperative’s system on October 13. This is an incredible milestone for EIEC, which has a long-running, highly successful geo marketing program for members … and a very active builder/HVAC contractor program.
The October 13 event will be held at the cooperative’s Paxton headquarters facilitiy located just of I-57, and begins at 11 am with a press conference and short program. Brian Houchin, president of GAOI, and Doug Dougherty, CEO of The Geothermal Exchange Organization, or GEO, are scheduled to speak during the program. A catered lunch will follow at 11:30 a.m. and the GAOI will hold its monthly board meeting at the co-op beginning at 1 pm.
