Is Thermally Enhanced Grout the most Cost-Effective way to Reduce Bore Resistance and Design Lengths

presented by Tyler Harbeck, GeoPro, Inc.

The presentation will briefly define why to grout, how to grout, and the criteria of a high quality grouting product. It will provide insight into different types of geothermal grouting products and the important characteristics to look for when making a grouting product selection. The presentation will then look at multiple design examples showing the impact grout thermal conductivity has on single, double, and quad loop u-bend configurations. Ultimately the presentation will show how design lengths are impacted when thoughtful decisions are made regarding Thermal Grout and GHEX configurations.

Tyler Harbeck is the Lead Product Engineer for Geo Pro, Inc. He  has been responsible for GeoPro’s product quality and  development since 2009.
