Register NOW for the third ILLINOIS GEOTHERMAL CONFERENCE in Collinsville, March 11-13, 2013.

Registration is now open.  You’ll find all the links and information for the conference at gaoi.org.  Just click this link and then click on the conference link on the home page. You can handle all the registration details on line. If you run into any snags, please call us at the numbers below.

The Gateway Center at Collinsville is the location for this year’s conference. Gateway is conveniently located right off I-55 at the main Collinsville exit. The very nice Doubletree Hotel is right next door — a short walk across the parking lot to the Gateway Center. We have a very good rate with Doubletree and a block of rooms is reserved there. Be sure to make your reservations right now before the block fills up.

VENDORS and SPONSORS: There’s still time to join us for this year’s show. We expect to have 50-plus booths for this year’s show. If you want to join in, please register on line NOW, or call Kristin at 217-241-7924 or John at 217-241-7973 for details.

A big thank you to our two latest Gold sponsors — the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, or MEEA, and Prairie Power, Inc., the supplier of power for electric cooperatives in central Illinois.  They join our other Gold sponsors — Enertech, WaterFurnace International, Connor Company – ClimateMaster, The Hole Deal and TMi (Thermal Mechanics Inc.) — they’re going above and beyond to advance our industry and make this show happen.

REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE NOW: We have a great conference lined up this year, starting with a pre-conference seminar for utility personnel on Monday, March 11.  We’ll have everything from fusion training to case studies of geothermal conversions in historic buildings.  There will be sessions on geothermal financing, new residential energy codes and geothermal radiant heat applications.  Right now we’re working on nearly 30 different breakout training sessions at this year’s conference.

Registration for the pre-conference (geared for utility personnel) on Monday afternoon is $30. Note you need to register separately online for the pre-conference.

Registration for the conference is $125 for current GAOI members; $200 for non-members. This is the early-bird registration price that is good until the end of the month — after Feb. 28, the price goes up, so register early!

Lastly, take note that GAOI has arranged with Illinois Workforce Development for a training grant to help with costs of attending the conference.  Illinois residents attending the conference are eligible for a $125 refund/rebate from Workforce Development. There are several forms that must be completed in order to take advantage of this rebate program. You’ll find a link on the conference registration forms at gaoi.org. They’ll give you the information you need.

More than 100 participants in last year’s program took advantage of the program — for those of you who did, this year’s drill is the same. The paperwork is the same again.

Lastly, the GAOI accreditation exams will be given at the conclusion of the conference on Wednesday, March 13.  Send your installers and service technicians to this year’s show — when they successfully complete the GAOI accreditation, you can tell the world that your company is GREAT and is one of the top geo firms in our state.

THANK YOU everyone — we’re looking forward to seeing you in Collinsville in a month!
